Mitt Romney Even Lies About His First Name!

On the same day that Mitt Romney came under fire for lying in a campaign ad about a President Obama quote, he lied in a nationally televised debate about his first name.

Wolf Blitzer opened up Tuesday night's CNN debate by instructing the candidates on how to introduce themselves. "Here's an example of what I'm looking for: 'I'm Wolf Blitzer and yes, that's my real name.'"

Romney picked up on that and introduced himself by saying, "I'm Mitt Romney and yes, Wolf, that's also my first name." The New York Daily News reports that his lame attempt at humor was greeted by "dead silence" from the audience.

Another problem -- Mitt is not Romney's first name. It is his middle name. His real first name is Willard (yes, like the rat from the 70s cult classic film).

The lie from the noted flip-flopper who has had trouble with the truth in the past immediately lit up the Internet. The Democratic Party went on Twitter to say:

“FACT: Mitt Romney's real first name is Willard.”

The AFL-CIO, which backs Obama, tweeted:

"Mitt Romney lies about unions, Obama, and...his first name."

As Opposing Viewsreported earlier on Tuesday, a Romney ad used a quote from Obama that was taken out of context, which the Romney camp eagerly admitted to doing.
