Mike Huckabee Says Lara Logan is 'Hero Journalist' for Botched Benghazi Report (Video)

CBS News recently walked back its highly-discredited Benghazi story that aired on "60 Minutes" some weeks ago and conducted an internal review of the broadcast.

Following the release of the internal review, "60 Minutes" host Lara Logan and her producer Max McClellan were placed on a leave of absence following revelations that their main source for the story, security contractor Dylan Davies, had given different contradictory versions of the Benghazi terrorist attack, reported MediaMatters.org.

However, today, Fox News host Mike Huckabee lavished praise on Logan for her debunked report, calling her a "hero journalist," noted RawStory.com.

Huckabee told "Fox & Friends" this morning that he was “very shocked” that Logan was suspended by CBS News (video below).

“And I think that the fact is that we’re missing the big story here," said Huckabee. "We still don’t know what happened in Benghazi. Our government lied to us, they covered it up.”

Huckabee failed to provide to any proof of a cover up, but added, “Lara Logan is certainly a hero journalist to at least attempt to get the story out."
