Rep. Michele Bachmann criticized President Obama on Fox News Radio’s “Kilmeade and Friends” Tuesday morning, accusing him of pushing Obamacare for political gain rather than the benefit of the American people.
“That’s about as selfish and calculating as you can get,” Bachmann said, who in June called herself a champion for repealing Obamacare.
Bachmann noted that the delays in care only applied to businesses, not people.
During Tuesday’s Fox News segment, Bachmann said she had confidence that House Republicans would propose legislation that would actually aid Americans. Bachmann compared Obama’s healthcare efforts to waving a magic wand and decreeing orders.
"Here’s the one that no American wants to be in. It’s the Medicaid ghetto,” she said. “And that’s where the lowest possible care, where very few doctors will be available to offer this kind of care.”
Bachmann has been a constant outspoken opponent of Obamacare, promising that it would “literally” kill women and children. She also said that God would step in to free Americans from the legislation.
While Bachmann released an official statement rejecting a bid to run for reelection, there has been no mention of a bid for presidency.
