First lady Melania Trump blasted President Donald Trump's first wife, Ivana, after she called herself the real "first lady."
Ivana appeared on "Good Morning America" to promote her new book, "Raising Trump," the Daily Mail reported. During the interview, she spoke about her close relationship with her ex-husband.
Ivana revealed that she speaks to the president almost every two weeks, and that she even has a direct number to the White House. However, she said she doesn't use the number because she doesn't want to cause any problems.
"Melania is there and I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or anything like that because I'm the first Trump wife," Ivana explained. "I'm the first lady, OK?"
Melania has since responded to Ivana's comment.
"Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and The President," read a statement from the first lady's spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham. "She loves living in Washington, D.C. and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books.
"There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex. Unfortunately only attention seeking and self-serving noise."
Melania's statement quickly went viral on social media. It even got the attention of Andy Cohen, producer of the "Real Housewives" series for Bravo, who tweeted, "This is actually happening. All the wives are fighting. Even I AM SPEECHLESS."
Cohen then jokingly offered to mediate a "Real Housewives of the White House" reunion show between Melanie and Ivana.
During an interview with CBS, Ivana also mentioned the president's second wife, Marla Maples.
"I don't talk about her. She's a showgirl. Never achieve anything in her life," Ivana said.
When asked about what caused her marriage to end, Ivana said she was not sure.
"Well, she was flirting... and I think she was flirting and and she got away with it," Ivana said of Maples. "I'm not sure, because Donald would get 1,000 business cards in the pocket every night. He could choose any girl he wanted to have.
"So I'm not sure if she was. There could be another one, could be another one. I really don't know."
When asked about the difference between Melania and Maples, Ivana responded: "One is nobody. And the other one is first lady."
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump took to Twitter on Oct. 10 to once again blast Jemele Hill and ESPN.
"With Jemele Hill at the mike, it is no wonder ESPN ratings have 'tanked,' in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!" the president tweeted.
