Donald Trump Might Not Live In The White House

President-elect Donald Trump reportedly plans to spend as little time as possible living in the White House during his presidency.

According to The New York Times, Trump has been having discussions with his advisors about how many days per week he will have to spend at the White House.

The president-elect reportedly has a preference for his $100 million penthouse in Trump Tower in New York City, which brings up concerns about how the 90-minute commute by helicopter to and from Washington will be funded.

Trump has reportedly told his advisors that he would like to spend as much time in New York as possible. His wife, Melania, expected to make the move to the capital, however, according to the Daily Mail.

The couple's 10-year-old son, Barron, is currently in the middle of a school year at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in Manhattan, which is a private school. There has been speculation that Barron may move to Washington and attend Sidwell Friends, where the children of presidents have gone for the last 35 years, though it has not been confirmed. There have also been rumors that Barron may stay in New York with his grandparents in order to remain at his current school.

Trump will likely end up spending most of his week in Washington, then returning either to Trump Tower in New York or his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on the weekends.
