Jon Stewart dedicated a large chunk of ‘The Daily Show’ on Monday night to bashing President Obama for his recent loss of swag, but on Tuesday he returned to his roots. In a segment entitled “Sodomy, Zygotes and Welfare” the 50-year-old comedian ripped into several notable Republicans for wasting their time on issues he perceived to be unimportant.
On the target list: Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli who is looking to bring back anti-sodomy laws; lawmakers in Kansas, Arkansas and North Darkota trying strengthen abortion laws; and politicians in Tennessee who are pushing to link welfare with children’s performance in schools.
