Jeb Bush To Announce Presidential Candidacy On June 15

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will announce his candidacy for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination on June 15.

On June 4, Bush teased his announcement in a tweet that contained a photo of his silhouette and a caption that read, “Coming 6.15.15,” along with a link to sign up for additional information. According to Bush’s aides, he will make the announcement in a speech to supporters at Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus.

Speculation has grown in recent weeks as to when Bush would announce an inevitable presidential run, and he has reportedly been raising funds for his super political action committee since revealing his intention to launch a presidential campaign.

According to reports, Bush plans to use his PAC, called Right to Rise, for a number of campaign operations beyond airing ads, though no plans have yet been made public.

Due to campaign finance laws that dictate super PACs and campaigns are prohibited from coordinating with each other, one of Bush’s top advisers and longtime associates, Mike Murphy, will run Right to Rise while another, Sally Bradshaw, will focus on the campaign.
