Five detainees currently being held at Guantanamo Bay prison who refer to themselves as the "Shura Council" have filed a 3,00 word paper with the federal government in which they take responsibility for the 9/11 attacks and consider the killing a brave accomplishment, according to a report by the New York Times.

The detainees filing the document include Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the attacks, and explain that the five men were content to be martyrs.

In reference to the terrorism charges against them the detainees wrote, "To us they are not accusations. To us they are badges of honor, which we carry with pride."
