Fox News is demanding that survivors of the terror attack in Benghazi, Libya, last year, be forced to testify in front of Congress (video below).
According to MediaMatters.org, the survivors were already interviewed by the FBI and by investigators working for retired Ambassador Thomas Pickering and a former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, Adm. Mike Mullen, who led an independent review of the State Department's handling of the attack.
However, that is not enough for Fox News and some Republicans.
"Why haven't we heard Benghazi survivors before your committee?" Fox News host Greta Van Susteren pressed Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) this week.
"The state department will not provide us the information for these people.. there were more than a dozen of them. Some were interviewed in Libya, some were interviewed in Germany after the attack... they won't even tell us the names," lamented Rep. Chaffetz.
"You've got to subpoena these names. You've got to subpoena these, and depose them and put them under oath or you're never going to get the answer," Van Susteren demanded.
Rep. Chaffetz assured Van Susteren that he was trying to get the survivors to testify, but was being blocked by the Obama administration.
After the 9/11 attacks, there was no call or demand from Republicans or Fox News to have those survivors testify before Congress.
