Former President George W. Bush Wants Jeb Bush to Run for Presidency in 2016 (Video)

During an interview this week with ABC News, former President George W. Bush encouraged his brother, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, to run for president in 2016 (video below).

“He’d be a marvelous candidate if he chooses to do so. He doesn’t need my counsel because he knows what it is, which is ‘run,’” said Bush. “But whether he does or not, it’s a very personal decision.”

When asked about Jeb running against Hillary Clinton in 2016, Bush said: “It’ll be a fantastic photo here. It would certainly eclipse the museum and the center.”

On a question about immigration reform, Bush opined: “I’m a strong advocate in reforming a broken system.”

However, he would not comment on gun background checks, which he supported as president. Bush also dodged a question about gay marriage, something his wife Laura and daughter Barbara support.

Bush was also asked this week by C-Span about his current relationship with former Vice President Dick Cheney, which he called "cordial" (video below).

Bush said in 2010 that Cheney was angry because he refused to give Cheney's former head of staff Scooter Libby a full pardon, reported

The George W. Bush Presidential Center opened this week at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where the former president lives.
