President Trump Waves At Protesters During Golf Outing

President Donald Trump was seen waving at protesters as he played golf with the Japanese Prime Minister.

Trump was photographed shooting some rounds with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, as well as South African four-time majors champion Ernie Els at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida, on Feb. 11, the Daily Mail reported.

According to the president, a large number of supporters had gathered to cheer him on. Trump took to Twitter to call the media out for ignoring the story.

"Just leaving Florida," President Trump tweeted. "Big crowds of enthusiastic supporters lining the road that the FAKE NEWS media refuses to mention. Very dishonest!"

Although the press was not allowed to follow the president during his game, several photographs show Trump giving his guests high-fives, and waving at other people on the golf course.

After four hours of golf, Trump went to a private lunch with Els and Abe. He engaged in more formal talks with the Japanese Prime Minister on Feb. 10 at the White House.

According to his tweets after the event, Trump seemed to enjoy his golf outing.

"Played golf today with Prime Minister Abe of Japan and ... Ernie Els, and had a great time," he tweeted. "Japan is very well represented!"

Ernie Els is the second champion Trump has hosted for a game of golf in recent months; the president was seen golfing with Tiger Woods in December 2016.
