Former NBA star Glen Rice and ex-Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin allegedly had a one night tryst in 1987, a new book entitled Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin is claiming.
According to the National Enquirer, the book by Joe McGinniss -- scheduled to hit shelves September 20 -- details some previously unheard of details of Palin’s life including, but not limited to her “fetish” for black men at one point in her life. The Enquirer claims that Rice confirmed the details of their hook-up to McGinniss while the latter was working on his book.
Rice, of course, famously played for the Michigan Wolverines and led the team to a national championship in 1989. As per the details from the book relayed by the Enquirer, the pair’s sordid one-time love affair happened nine months before Palin married her husband – while Rice was in Alaska for a college basketball tournament and Palin herself was working as a TV sports reporter.
While details on what other salacious stories the book will feature are murky at this point (although drugs, sex and cheating appear to be noted throughout), Palin was aware of McGinniss’ reputation and even commented on his investigative past before on Facebook. When he first moved in next door to her, she posted this on Facebook: "Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole?"
After his stint at Michigan, Rice played for a number of NBA teams including the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers, while Palin went on to become one of the most polarizing political figures in recent memory.
