Dallas City Council candidate Richard Sheridan recently left a profane-filled voicemail (audio below) for local D Magazine reporter Danner Koller.
Sheridan was angry because Koller had not written enough about Sheridan's opponent, Leland Burk, being gay.
Sheridan, who only got 28 votes, and Leland Burk lost the election to Jennifer Staubach Gates, who is the daughter of Dallas Cowboys legend Roger Staubach.
D Magazinepublished Sheridan's obscene voicemail on May 14 with the warning: "Very Not Safe For Work. You may need a shower afterwards."
“You, sir, are c*nt, b*tch, coward, Mr. Koller. Dan Koller is a c*nt, b*tch, coward. And I don’t think you have one testicle, sir. You’re a sorry-*ss, you’re a disgrace to our city, you’re a propagandist to the Sodomites," said Sheridan.
“And when I see you, I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but minimally your eardrums will hurt, you motherf*cker. Because the word f*ck means abuse and if you’re in the gay lifestyle, the mothers that bring their children up in the world, wanting to do good, want to live a good life, and you go with the Sodomites? You motherf*cker, c*nt, coward Dan Koller.”
Sheridan added that the angry-sounding threat was not actually a threat, so Koller should not call the police.
“Dick, is your talk is cheap; you’re not a man,” Koller wrote on Tuesday. “The word is out, you’re doing wrong. Gonna lock you up before too long. I’m telling you, just watch your mouth. I know your game, what you’re about.”
If that sounds familiar, it's because Koller's response included some of the lyrics from Michael Jackson's song "Bad."
