Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner was spotted wearing a Make America Great Again hat despite President Donald Trump's transgender military ban.
Jenner, who is transgender, was seen wearing the pro-Trump hat while driving on Aug. 3, reports People. In a series of tweets, the president signaled he wanted to ban transgender people from the U.S. military.
About a week before wearing the hat, Jenner had ironically blasted Trump's ban.
"I believe every American should be outraged by the disrespect shown to those people wearing our country's uniform," said Jenner on her website at the time. "Does President Trump intend to just pull 15,000 people out of every critical position to which they are currently assigned? That would disrupt core military missions around the world and needlessly endanger our troops."
What's more, she no longer swore her allegiance to Trump.
"America’s 15,000 trans service members and 134,000 veterans are much braver than you, Mr. Trump; my allegiance is with them and our country, not you," added Jenner.
But her Make America Great Again hat caused many to believe she still supported Trump, sparking controversy.
"How does the transgender community take Kaitlyn Jenner Kardashian serious about fighting for transgender rights, when she supports the people taking away all of their rights?" wrote one TMZ reader.
"Now HE/SHE is nothing but a classless hypocrite," added another. "For he/she to still support TRUMp is a full frontal slap in the face to anyone who is LGBT. She has little re4spect in the first place now she is totally irrelevant. Wait until she finds under TRUMP healthcare plan she will not have access to AFFORDABLE healthcare at all. She is an ignorant, useless, hypocrite. "
