On Saturday, Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz dropped the f-bomb while talking about the capture of suspected Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzohkhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev (video below).
“This jersey that we wear today, it doesn’t say Red Sox, it says Boston,” said Ortiz before the Red Sox game against the Kansas City Royals. “We want to thank you, Mayor Menino, Governor Patrick, the whole police department for the great job they did this past week.”
“This is our f*cking city! And nobody going to dictate our freedom. Stay strong,” Ortiz said while lifting his fist, reported Mediaite.com.
Ortiz's f-bomb was broadcast on MLBN and NESN, as well as local radio stations WEEI 850 and WUFC 1510, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
However, it doesn't look like Ortiz's f-bomb will be fined, as FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski tweeted from the FCC's official Twitter account:" David Ortiz spoke from the heart at today's Red Sox game. I stand with Big Papi and the people of Boston - Julius."
