The most recent sighting of first son Barron Trump is causing a stir on social media.
First lady Melania Trump and son Barron haven't been photographed publicly since President Donald Trump went on his working vacation 12 days ago, reports The Inquisitr.
The working vacation began on Aug. 4, which the president announced with a tweet: “Working in Bedminster, N.J., as long planned construction is being done at the White House. This is not a vacation -- meetings and calls."
However, soon after arrival, Trump was seen wearing a white polo shirt and golf shoes, providing more fuel for critics who say Trump spends too much time playing and not enough time working.
It was the president’s 45th trip to a Trump-owned golf course, with Bedminster holding the prize for most-visited, reported the New York Daily News.
When the president, his wife and son boarded Air Force One at Morristown Municipal Airport on Aug. 20 for their return flight to the White House, Barron's shark T-shirt was the first thing to catch the public's attention.
The red shirt, depicting a shark and the words, “On your mark, tiger shark!” created an instant buzz on Reddit and began selling out on the popular e-commerce store Zulily.
A popular topic of discussion on Reddit was Barron's height, which aroused similar curiosity when he made a rare trip to the White House on Mar. 17 while still attending school in Manhattan, as reported by The Inquisitr at the time.
On that occasion, photos captured Barron strolling across the White House lawn with his mom and dad, appearing much taller than when previously seen in public.
The positive response to Barron's shark shirt is a departure from previous media exposure about the president's youngest son, which has been largely negative.
His inability to pay attention during his father's inauguration, for example, puzzled many observers.
The most notable critique came from "Saturday Night Live" writer Katie Rich. "Barron will be this country's first homeschool shooter," she said, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Rich was suspended for her remark, after which she tweeted: "I sincerely apologize for the insensitive tweet. I deeply regret my actions and offensive words. It ws inexcusable & I'm so sorry."
Even an award-winning photo of Barron during Inauguration Day cast him in a less-than-positive light, reports Reading the Pictures. The photo shows him staring blankly out the window of the first family's limousine as it rolled down Pennsylvania Avenue, according to Reporting The Pictures. The photo, simply entitled "BARRON," won an award sponsored by the White House News Photographers Association.
