Barron, the 11-year-old son of Melania and U.S. President Donald Trump, is approaching his father in height and has nearly eclipsed his mother. Hollywood Life puts Barron somewhere between 5-foot 10-inches and 5-foot 11-inches, with Melania the 5-foot 11-inch standard-bearer. Barron looks to be just a few ticks shorter than his mother, for now.
Mr. Trump has described Barron as a "natural athlete," and says he plays baseball after school in addition to taking golf and tennis classes. Barron has also learned his mother's native language of Slovenian in addition to English.
Photos from Inauguration Day found by Heavy show Barron appearing to be a little shorter than his mother and quite a bit shorter still than his father. With Inauguration Day now six months past, it seems Barron has grown.
Mr. Trump's driver's license lists his height at 6-foot 2-inches, although Trump's official doctor sent a letter to "The Dr. Oz Show" during an appearance by Mr. Trump to claim that he was 6-foot 3-inches, according to The Hill.
Politico found that in a special edition of Time magazine, Mr. Trump said he finds it increasingly annoying that media outlets print his listed height as 6-foot 2-inches rather than 6-foot 3-inches.
Slate dug up a photograph of Mr. Trump standing next to former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush -- who is officially listed at 6-foot 3-inches and appears to be noticeably taller than the Mr. Trump.
University of Arkansas Medical Services offers proof to the common theory that people shrink as they age. The president, who recently celebrated his 71st birthday, has likely lost an inch from his prime height and is likely to lose another in the coming decade.
UAMS also advises against slouching, which can permanently curve the spine resulting in further height loss. Mr. Trump has been accused of not having the most appropriate posture, reports Heavy.
Barron, meanwhile, has outpaced his peers in terms of height. According to the CDC, the average 11-year-old boy is 4-foot 7-inches to 5-feet tall. Barron, standing somewhere between 5-foot 10-inches and 5-foot 11-inches, is taller than 95 percent of his grade-school classmates.
Barron and Melania officially made the move to the White House in June, after Barron's school year in Manhattan ended. Barron is set to attend St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, about 20 miles from the White House, according to Heavy.
