President Obama visited Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday and was met by protesters, who sometimes used racist insults.
Some anti-Obama protesters sang “Bye Bye Black Sheep” and held a sign that read: “Impeach the Half-White Muslim.”
“He’s 47 percent Negro,” yelled protester Ron Enderle, noted AZCentral.com.
President Obama appeared at the school to speak about mortgage finance reform (video below).
“I’ve got friends that they had to give their homes up because they have to go to foreclosure, and that’s not right,” Terri Ballway told ABC 15 News. She blamed the president for the banks choosing to foreclose on homes.
However, Obama supporter Delia Donlon said: “He’s already helped me tremendously, personally because my daughter is a freshman in college and she was able to get the one-time money, and also my son is able to continue his health insurance [on my policy] until he’s 26 years old."
There were also pro-Obama supporters protesting the president to address immigration reform and the proposed Keystone pipeline.
