Anthony Weiner's Controversial "Rabbi to the Stars" Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto

When embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner needs advice, he has been known to turn to a man known as the "Rabbi to the Stars." But that man reportedly has just as many problems as Weiner.

The New York Daily News reports that Weiner is a follower of Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto -- "a self-proclaimed kabbalah scholar who puts death curses on his critics."

The newspaper reports Weiner has attended Pinto's classes and holiday gatherings. In their private discussions, "they would talk about Israel," a member of Pinto's inner circle said. "They'd ask (Weiner) why Obama wasn't more supportive."

Pinto, 37, also helped Weiner raise nearly $350,000 for his political campaigns, mostly from the rabbi's wealthy followers.

But being associated with Pinto has its risks. One of his top aides has been linked to the porn business, and last year he placed  "death curse" on a man with whom he was having a financial dispute. That man fell to his death from the 19th floor of a New York City building.

The News reports that Pinto's townhouse is facing foreclosure, and that the he refuses to meet with women.

Pinto was in the headlines last summer when a photo of him holding LeBron James's hand surfaced. It seems James consulted with him for business advice. He probably should have asked for a death curse on the Dallas Mavericks.
