After repeatedly predicting victory, New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner came in fifth place is the Democratic primary tonight.
Weiner conceded defeat during a speech to his staff inside Connolly's Irish Pub, but suggested he might run again with the words "this time."
"Sadly, we did not win this time, but I could not be more proud of the campaign that we ran. I could not be more proud of you. We had the best ideas. Sadly, I was an imperfect messenger," said the disgraced former U.S. congressman, noted the Daily Mail.
Weiner then quickly left in a SUV, but took a few seconds to give the media his middle-finger, tweeted journalist Kate Rose.
He missed the arrival of his former online sexting partner Sydney Leathers, who showed up at Connolly's Irish Pub uninvited.
She wore a revealing red dress that could barely contain her breasts, which underwent surgical enlargement at a cost of $40k.
Thankfully, Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, was not present at the event.
