Students at American University in Washington, D.C., stood up and walked out in the middle of a speech from former Vice President Dick Cheney, calling him a “war criminal.”
As students left the auditorium Friday, someone can be heard in the video shouting, “Walk out on war criminals ... do not support war criminals!”
In an interview with the university newspaper, The Eagle, before his speech, Cheney defended the use of torture in interrogations, stating he would “do it all over again.”
“Some people called it torture. It wasn't torture,” Cheney said. “If I would have to do it all over again, I would. The results speak for themselves.”
During his speech, he said only three people had been waterboarded during his vice-presidency.
