In response to the Supreme Court ruling on President Obama's health care law, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) vowed that the House would, once again, vote to repeal Obamacare.
The House previously voted to repeal Obamcare on Jan 19, 2011, but the vote had no legal authority without a Senate vote to also repeal the landmark healthcare law.
In a statement today, Rep. Cantor said: “The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold ObamaCare is a crushing blow to patients throughout the country."
"On July 11th, the House will once again repeal ObamaCare, clearing the way for patient-centered reforms that lower costs and increase choice. We support an approach that offers simpler, more affordable and more accessible health care that allows people to keep the health care that they like."
However, Obamacare allows to people to keep the health care that they like, but does force health insurance companies to cover people regardless of pre-existing conditions, a protection that Americans did not have before Obamacare.
