Billionaire David Sacks, CEO of the social media site Yammer, recently gave himself an extravagant 40th birthday party styled after the French Revolution.
Sacks tried to keep the party secret, according to one guest, who said that social media sites were banned at Sacks' $125 million mansion in Los Angeles.
Sacks even canceled the invitation of Pando Daily tech editor Sarah Lacy after she wrote about the upcoming party on her blog, reports The Daily Mail.
The 18th century-style masquerade party featured entertainment by rapper Snoop Dog, who took pictures of the party.
Socialite Victoria Hervey tweeted a photo of herself and producer Nikhil Sharma.
The party is said to have cost Sacks around $1.4 million.
