According to Nancy Pelosi, no one would be more qualified to run for president than Hillary Clinton.
Speaking at a panel discussion at the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Ark., House Minority Leader Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she’s praying Clinton will run again in 2016.
"I pray that Hillary Clinton decides to run for President of the United States," said Pelosi, according to the Arkansas Democratic-Gazette.
Though Clinton has been mostly mute about her intention to seek her party's nomination in 2016, her exit as Secretary of State was, at the very least, a public hint she’s considering it.
"Let's set aside for a moment the fact that she's a woman," said Pelosi. "As a person, she would be the most qualified person to enter the White House in modern history."
Pelosi, though obviously partial in her support, has a point — Clinton is hands-down the most qualified candidate. She’s not only served as Secretary of State and a Senator, but she spent eight years as First Lady when Bill Clinton was in office, witnessing firsthand the pressures of the office.
"Think of the message it sends to women in the world," she said. "The most powerful figure in the world is a woman, and she also happens to be the most qualified for the job."
