It's always nice to see what your fellow college graduates have been up to. And 50 years after graduation, it's fascinating to see what they've done with their lives. Harvard sent out such an update about its 'distinguished' alumni recently...
Oh, look. There's Theo Kaczynski. Wonder what Ted -- Occupation prisoner?
That's right, that Theo. As in, The Unabomber. The guy who sent 16 deadly bombs in the mail across the nation, killing three people and injuring 23 others from 1978 to 1995.
Kaczynski's address is completely accurate: While it used to be a brown shack in the woods, it's now the United States Penitentiary-Max in Florence, Colorado. Also known as SuperMax.
Under 'Awards,' The Unabomber notes 'eight life sentences, issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, 1998.' Something to be proud of, apparently.
Kaczynski went to Harvard at age 16 and later earned a PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan. His Harvard class of 1962 is meeting this week for its 50-year reunion.
