Whew! What a beautiful and crazy week it has been over here, we hope that you are looking forward to spending the weekend relaxing and rejuvenating whether you are a mother yourself, or you just happen to have one. Thursday, May 5th – Sunday, May 8th
This exciting event will feature over 30 workshops, ranging from fast-paced vinyasa yoga to slow-flow restorative yoga. The festival will unite Philadelphia-area studios and draw teachers from around the globe.
“The idea of doing a yoga festival in Philadelphia came from many different teachers in the area expressing a desire to unite the community and expose people who haven’t tried yoga to all of the different styles and teachers,” said Dhyana Vitarelli of Dhyana Yoga. “Every major city has a yoga festival; it’s time to put Philly on the map!”

Join our main man Simon Park at Sonic Yoga in NYC for Fluid Power Teacher Training!
Morning practices are fertile, creative explorations that catalyze afternoon and evening interactive practicums and discussions. during this weekend, we will focus on: • Development of class openings and mini-vinyasas for beginning and mixed-level classes that cultivate wave motion and fluid body • Four energy based vinyasa flow sequences for developing your own effective and creative flows for teaching • Integration of mantra, pranayama, chanting and music to release the vibratory song of the body • Understanding of the fluid/pranic body for balancing and healing the stresses of life in the twenty-first century • Accessible exploration of yogic philosophy through the celebrated tantric texts, Vijnana Bhairava Tantra and Spanda Karikas, as well as poetry to deepen the living connection to prana-shakti, life force • Micro-meditations to stay connected to the flow while living yoga Come participate in this fluid, dynamic approach to yoga, movement, and healing.

Sunday, May 8th
Going down on Sunday, May 8th from 2-4pm, this special Mother’s Day class will be sponsored by yoga clothing company, Tanya B and will benefit The Libby Ross Breast Cancer Foundation. It is a donation-based all levels class and the first 20 participants to sign up will receive a free Tanya-B reversible bag! There is a suggested donation of $40, and all proceeds will go to LRBCF’s Pose for Pink Yoga Program in their efforts to support women touched by cancer through the healing powers of yoga.
