A U.K. man has been charged after he allegedly raped a teen girl.

27-year-old Khurram Rahi of Birmingham appeared in court July 31 for the case of a 14-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted two times in the same day, according to the Daily Mail.

The victim had walked to a Birmingham rail station with a friend, where a man is reported to have led her away and raped her. After the attack, she stopped a car to ask for help, but the man in the car allegedly raped her as well.

Rahi was charged in the first attack, along with a 34-year-old man who was later released.

The man who carried out the second assault is still at large. Police have said that he is a "thick set" man of Asian descent with large biceps and stands about 5'6.

"This case has gained national interest and I am pleased we are now in a position to charge a man in connection," said British Transport Police's detective chief inspector Tony Fitzpatrick, The Liberal reports. "However, we still have a suspect outstanding for the offense in the vehicle."

"I would urge anyone who may have any information regarding this attack to get in touch as soon as possible," added Fitzpatrick.

Before Rahi was identified as a possible suspect in the first attack, Fitzpatrick reached out for information on both suspects, reports The New York Post.

"This was a horrifying ordeal for this young girl and we have specially trained officers supporting her," he said. "It is now vitally important we investigate exactly what happened on Tuesday morning, as well as identifying offenders for both of these awful incidents."

"My detectives are currently examining all available CCTV in an effort to identify the offenders and whilst these enquiries are made, we are keen to speak with any potential witnesses," added Fitzpatrick. "Whilst this incident happened during the early morning and there may not have been many people around, I would be keen to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at the time."

"If you were passing by the station and saw two girls walking with an older man, then please get in touch immediately," the chief inspector reported. "Likewise, if you saw any suspicious vehicles close to Witton station close to 2 a.m., then please get in touch as soon as possible."

"Your information could prove vital in our enquiries to identify the perpetrators," he said. "We are now doing all we can to trace the people responsible and bring them to justice."
