An unidentified motorist was caught on video (below) in a wild episode of road rage in Stockport, England, on Aug. 16.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the road rager beat and kicked a car driven by Mark Evans while his 17-year-old passenger filmed the bizarre incident.
In the video, the angry motorist runs across the street, tries to open the locked driver's side door and then starts beating on the window.
The teen yells that she is going to send the video to the police, but the motorist starts kicking the front of the car.
The trouble reportedly began off-camera about a mile earlier when the motorist almost hit Evans' car.
According to Evans, the motorist spat at his car and then drove very slowly ahead of them:
I kept my distance as I was concerned they might start slamming on the brakes and try and cause an accident. A mile up the road the traffic lights were changing. They managed to get through while I was first in the queue at the traffic lights -- that’s when the video starts.
He pulled up, got out of the car and started running back across the busy main road. Thankfully my car automatically locks as soon as you put the key in the ignition and move off.
I used to find it quite annoying but I was really lucky the car has that feature.
Evans, who plans to report the incident to the police, recalled the motorist's fury:
I couldn’t hear what he was shouting -- I just remember thinking, "Traffic lights, please change now." I didn’t want him getting in the car.
He had this mad look in his eye and he was so aggressive which was quite intimidating, especially as I knew there was at least one other guy with a half empty bottle of drink who could have joined in.
I didn’t stop and get out as I wanted to get as far away from him as possible as quickly as possible and I didn’t want him to see where I lived. I’ll probably drive home a different route tonight as I don’t want that to happen again.
The Manchester Evening News reported another road rage incident in Stockport in December 2015.
In that brawl, captured on a dash cam video, a motorist went at it with a cyclist in a fight that had to be broken up by a second motorist, a second cyclist, and a pedestrian.
