The biggest yoga festival to hit the East Coast is coming right up (7 days!) and we wanted to highlight some of the not-to-miss activities and experiences happening. Wanderlust has everything this year in Vermont from Kirtan with Krishna Das to Anusara with John Friend and even a little whistling from Andrew Bird. Here are our highlights below, day by day.

While Garth Stevenson’s morning hikes may be all full you can slip into Efan Hsieh’s hike and trail the beautiful greens of the VT mountains. After the two hour hike (10:30am-12:30pm) grab a quick lunch at the Farmers Market located inside of Kula Village
and hop on into Elena Brower’s “Hoops of Anusara” starting at 1:00pm. Later in the day to wrap things up, Erica Mather is teaching a “Forrest Yoga Sequencing” class at 3:30, which would be your last yoga class of the day.

At night, Wanderlust presents an Opening Ceremony with Shakti Sunfire, Garth Stevenson, and a very special performance by Vusi Mahlasela who hails from South Africa. If your up for the late night rage, don’t miss out on Get Your Dance On with EarthRise SoundSystem.

Start your day off with a vinyasa “Wonder Lust Flow” from Dana Flynn of Laughing Lotus NYC and dive into Schuyler Grant’s (founder of Wanderlust) lecture mixed with asana class “There Is No Reason To Live With Lower Backpain”. But if you don’t want to take an early class and see something else, we highly recommend hearing Majora Carter speak at the Speakeasy. After hearing Majora speak about greening in the city, jump on into some more Anusara with John Friend at his “Creating Art Through The Body” class. Later in the day, Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman will instruct a hatha class called “Backbends into Vulnerability” that is semi-advanced.  Another great yoga class of the day is taught by Seane Corn – “Body Prayer: Entering The Temple”. To wrap up the day, make sure to catch Deepak Chopra speak on the mainstage! Headlining the night of music is one of our favorites, Andrew Bird with his signature violin loops and whistling…you won’t want to miss this.

Want to get your power yoga on? Look no further and take Bryan Kest’s 8:00am class “Power Yoga Class & Meditation” and drop into Lauren Hannah’s “Jala Namaskar” 12:00pm class.  For a very special speakeasy session, Sean Hoess, Jeff Krasno, and Schuyler Grant, the founders of Wanderlust will host a speakeasy called “Meet The Fockers” – we know these guys, and we know that it will be both insightful and hilarious. At night, Michael Franti & Spearhead are ready to rock the main stage. Late night rage you ask? Join DJ Leif in Grizzly’s Tent for a wild dance party.

This is a tough day. Being that its your last day, you are going to want to catch it all. Here is a list of the do not miss events.

- Chakra Flow with Seane Corn
- Radiant Body with Kia Miller & Tommy Rosen
- Power Yoga with Bryan Kest
- Summer Solstice Practice with John Friend
- Using the Breath To Heal: Forrest Yoga and Mending Your Body and Spirit with Erica Mather
- Mariachi El Bronx at the Anusara Stage
- Kirtan with Krishna Das on the Main Stage
