Kate Middleton looked stunning in a Sarah Burton wedding gown from the house of Alexander McQueen on this very special wedding day to her prince, Prince William. The Royal Wedding site explains her choice:
“Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing. [She] wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen’s work.”
Kate, 29, most certainly achieved that. The dress was reminiscent of that which was worn by Grace Kelly on her wedding day. The platinum and diamond tiara was a 1936 Cartier tiara given to Queen Elizabeth for her 18th birthday by the Queen Mother. Kate’s earrings were given to her by her parents.
Kate and William will now be officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Congratulations to the very happy couple.
Did you watch the Royal Wedding? What did you think of Kate’s dress?
