A video featuring a young woman pretending to be drunk in Hollywood, California, and men trying to trick her into going home with them has gone viral on the web.
Stephen Zhang recently filmed and uploaded the video (below) to YouTube with the title: "Drunk Girl In Public (Social Experiment)."
At the beginning of the video, the woman explains how she is on Hollywood Boulevard and is going to "see if anyone will help me get home."
The woman asks several men to help her find a bus to Culver City, another part of Los Angeles.
According to Metro.co.uk, the men's reactions included:
"A bus? You don’t need to take a bus. We’re going to go somewhere else, to my house. There’s a bus line outside my house… I’ve got a water bed."
"You go ahead and knock it all back, Miss Daisy."
"Maybe if you wanted to hang out, go back to my spot? I’m not going to charge you anything, okay?"
Towards the end of the video, one man does appear to be helping the "drunk" woman to the bus stop. She quickly thanks him and walks away.
However, Jezebel notes that Hollywood Boulevard is a sleazy area filled with miscreants and may not have been the best place to get reactions from average males.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, a more scientific study found that 19% of women in college experience an attempted or completed sexual assault.
