Matt Drudge Mocks Gun Control with 'Pressure Cookers' Tweet

| by Michael Allen

Matt Drudge, creator of the conservative DrudgeReport.com, recently mocked CNN's Piers Morgan and gun control with a Boston Marathon bombing joke, reported Mediaite.com.

Morgan is well-known for his public stand against assault weapons, which can fire hundreds of bullets in seconds.

On Twitter today, Drudge tweeted: "Oh please no, not 4 months of Piers Morgan pushing for national ban of pressure cookers."

It's been reported that the two bombs at the Boston Marathon were made of pressure cookers, nails and ball bearings.

In response, Morgan tweeted: "3 months > RT @DRUDGE Oh please no, not 4 months of Piers Morgan pushing for national ban of pressure cookers."

Morgan has taken heat from numerous pro-gun advocates, including conservative activist James O'Keefe, who attacked Morgan for having an "armed security sign" in his front yard.

Ted Nugent told Morgan on his show: "Would you leave us the hell alone?"

"You’re a foreigner, a redcoat, here telling us what to do, " conspiracy theorist Alex Jones ranted at Morgan in a bizarre tirade.
