Kickstarter Project To Make Potato Salad Raises More Than $4,000

A Kickerstarter project to cook potato salad has gone far past its $10 goal and raised more than $4,000.

The project from Zack Danger Brown of Columbus, Ohio, says: “Basically I'm just making potato salad. I haven't decided what kind yet.”

Risks and challenges?

“It might not be that good. It's my first potato salad,” Brown wrote.

He promised to make two kinds of potato salads if he raised $100. As the goal stretched he said he would “get a better recipe” from a chef. Then at $350 he said he would “make way more potato salad and probably do a third recipe.”

Backers blew past all those milestones.

He added more goals:

$1000: I'll do a live stream of the potato salad making

$1200: I'll pay someone to film a thank-you video for all of my backers!

The project has 738 backers and raised $4,091 as of Sunday afternoon.

“We're really tearing through these stretch goals,” Brown updated the page at $1,500. “I honestly don't know what is realistic anymore. So, I thought maybe we try to double the current number?”

He invited everyone to a party if he reached $3,000.

“My kitchen is too small!” he told backers. “I will rent out a party hall and invite the whole Internet to the potato salad party (only $10 and above will be allowed in the kitchen)! The Internet loves potato salad! Let's show them that potato salad loves the Internet!!”
