President Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, will be addressing thousands at this year's International CTIA Wireless convention in New Orleans, Louisiana. The exhibition is host to over 40,000 attendees interested in emerging mobile technology. Many of the most powerful companies in the mobile industry, such as AT&T, Verizon, Spotify, MasterCard, and Electronic Arts (EA), will be showcasing their latest.
From the CTIA site: CTIA is All Things Mobile. Now with new dates in May, International CTIA WIRELESS® is even better positioned to meet the needs of the global wireless marketplace. This bold move is more than a change of dates. It is the best opportunity to create a more personalized, powerful experience at the one place for carrier services, enterprise, communications, apps, content and social networking.
As the founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on turning good intentions in measurable results and fostering partnerships among governments, business and private citizens, he is a great finale to a convention dedicated to educating and connecting people in one of the fastest growing industries in the world - an industry creating instant global connections.
“The president has been a long-standing believer in the power of mobile communication, and played a leading role in forming policy during his terms in office that created an environment in which a young wireless industry flourished and provided immense benefits to Americans that have substantially increased over time,” said CTIA President and CEO Steve Largent.
