The Government takes the decision to increase university fees to 9,000 pounds ($14,000) a year, The Government says that, it is a key plank in the government’s deficit-cutting austerity measures. College and university students across the country held marches and sit-ins to oppose the decision to increase university fees to 9,000 pounds. In central London, the university students and younger pupils in uniforms marched toward the Houses of Parliament with a lot of chanting.
