The son of Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has gone missing, multiple sources are reporting.
As first noted by USA Today, the Oshkosh Police Department has told reporters that 21-year-old Michael T. Philbin has gone missing and was officially reported as such at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday. He was last heard from around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning when he was reportedly visiting friends in Oshkosh.
Meanwhile, 620WTMJ.com is reporting that authorities in Winnebago County have said that they are in the process of resuming a search for someone who may have fallen through the ice in the Fox River in Oshkosh. That same WTMJ.com report also notes that a person with the Axltech company called in at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning saying that they believed someone was calling for help from the river.
At this point, the Packers are refusing to comment on the situation and the Winnebago County Sheriff's department is refusing to cite a connection between the victim that may have fallen through the ice and Michael Philbin.
Back in 2009, a Brown County judge sentenced the youngster to six months in jail after he was convicted of sexually assaulting two young girls and two counts of battery.
Joe Philbin has been talked about as a potential candidate to fill the head coaching vacancy that the Miami Dolphins currently have open.
