Jerry Sandusky’s Lawyer Accidentally Tells People to Call Gay Phone Sex Line

| by Alex Groberman

Alleged pedophile and former Penn State football coordinator Jerry Sandusky has a lot of problems these days.

He’s currently being charged with sexually assaulting 10 boys over a 15-year span. He did an interview with NBC in which he looked about as guilty as a human being in his position could look. And, of course, after his initial arrest on charges related to molesting young boys, he was arrested a second time due to eerily similar accusations.

So how did Sandusky choose to respond to all of the aforementioned stuff? By going out and hiring the most questionable lawyer available, apparently.

Joe Amendola, Sandusky’s attorney, made headlines from the get-go when it came out that he too was no stranger to chasing minors in his pursuit of love. Those headlines kept on coming as Amendola kept mumbling and bumbling his way through these awful, awkward proceedings.

But it was on Tuesday -- the day Sandusky waived his right to a preliminary hearing despite the fact that he earlier said he wouldn’t -- that Amendola topped himself.

While speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Amendola offered this pithy comment to anyone who believes that the accusations that have been tossed his client’s way are true:

"I suggest you dial 1-800-REALITY."

One problem: that number takes you directly to a gay phone sex line. As noted by the good folks over at Deadspin, if you call the number that Amendola seems to know off the top of his head, you hear this:

“Hey guys, welcome to the hottest place for triple-X action. Get ready for bulge-bursting pleasure with h***y gay, bi, and bi-curious studs. Just 99 cents per minute for voice personals and amateur talk, and only $2.99 per minute for live, one-on-one talk with a hot guy who will do anything you want. Brought to you by National. You must be over 18. Enter your credit card now to join the fun!”

After a lifetime of (allegedly) questionable decisions, Sandusky appears to gotten exactly the attorney he deserves.

(Kudos to Deadspin for the find)
