A lot of people didn’t bother tuning into Kent State’s season opener versus Towson on Thursday. Big mistake. No, not because the game was exceptionally great – by all accounts, aside from one play, it was pretty forgettable.
That one play, though, man, it was brutal.
Following a Kent State punt, Towson botched a return opportunity when the ball bounced off one of their players. Because the ball was live, Kent State’s Andre Parker picked it up and tried to take it to the house. The wrong house.
Check it out:
In the end, the refs ruled that it should have been a dead ball and that Parker’s embarrassing wrong-way return didn’t count.
Seriously, what’s worse: Parker running in the wrong direction, or the dumb guys on the opposing squad who actually tackled him?
