2012 NFL Mock Draft: Atlanta Falcons (V7.0)

| by

The draft is one week away. Over the last few weeks GritsBlitz has brought you multiple variations of mock drafts. Today, I leave you with my final mock. This one is purely hypothetical, but it is definitely within the realm of possibility come Friday.

Here is what happens if Atlanta goes rouge and selects a running back in the second round. This scenario would occur if Atlanta cannot get what they are looking for when they are on the clock…I know that Turner has been a top 5 running back since coming to Atlanta, but the new Atlanta offense is moving towards a passing offense, and I doubt his production will be able to stay in the top tier.

JaQuizz looks prime to be the next guy, but he is an unknown commodity. I think if Atlanta decides not to take a running back at all this year, then it is certain to be the JaQuizz show in a couple years. It is safe to say that Atlanta could go grab a explosive tailback if the linemen and secondary pool isn’t what they were hoping for come pick #55. Again, this scenario is doubtful but I think it is definitely worth consideration. After last year I wouldn’t rule anything out.
