The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-99 on Wednesday night. It looked like San Antonio had a shot in the early going but, ultimately, OKC’s young legs were just too much for the Spurs’ veterans to overcome. Kevin Durant finished the game with 34 points and 14 rebounds, and Russell Westbrook pitched in 25 points of his own.
If there was one single Game 6 play that epitomized what this series ultimately came down to, this was it:
The Thunder’s freakish, unparalleled athleticism was too much for Tim Duncan and Co. Really, in the end, all they could do was get out of the way and watch the inevitable happen.
Next up, OKC will face the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals showdown between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics.
