Nike will carry on with its proud tradition of overcharging sneaker heads for shoes that they absolutely, positively do not need with the LeBron X Nike Plus. These new kicks, named after the NBA’s most recent MVP and Finals MVP, will sell for a cool $315.
Yes, you read that correctly – $315.
What exactly does a shoe of that cost provide? Well, according to the Wall Street Journal:
The coming $315 LeBron X Nike Plus, due in the fall, is expected to come embedded with motion sensors that can measure how high players jump. The LeBron 9 PS Elite basketball shoes, which currently retail for $250, feature Nike's signature swoosh in metallic gold.
You know, because that’s what’s keeping you from balling like LeBron James. The lack of embedded motion sensors.
