Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, the ex-wife of Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade, was arrested this past weekend for allegedly trying to kidnap the couple’s two kids.
In a divorce and custody war that’s gotten progressively more horrific ever since it started back in 2010, this latest incident might be the worst yet.
According to a statement released by the Cook County Sheriff's Office (via TMZ):
"Siohvaughn Funches-Wade was charged with two counts of attempted child abduction, two counts of unlawful visitation interference and one count of resisting arrest."
She eventually posted a $10,000 bond and was released. Her court date has been set for August.
Wade was awarded custody of his two children a while back and, according to him, his wife’s has and will continue to try to use them as “proverbial pawns in this contentious dissolution of marriage action."
He is now reportedly asking the court to suspend Siohvaughn’s visitation rights.
Despite the off-the-court load that’s currently on his plate, Wade is a mere one win away from capturing his second NBA championship. His Heat are up 3-1 over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals, and they will have a chance to close the series out this Thursday.
