New York Knicks point guard Jason Kidd was brought in last week to be a mentor of sorts for Jeremy Lin.
That, by all accounts, was the main justification for giving Kidd, 39, a 3-year, $9 million contract.
Well, a few days later – Lin is on his way to becoming a Houston Rocket and Kidd is hiding from the press after his latest brush with police.
Early Sunday morning, the Knicks’ most high-profile free agent signing thus far this summer was arrested for driving drunk after he crashed into a pole. Yes, an actual pole.
According to the New York Daily News, Kidd was on his way back from “a benefit for R&B singer Ne-Yo’s Compound Foundation, a nonprofit founded to empower and inspire kids in foster care and group homes” when he got busted.
On Monday morning, TMZ got their hands on the highly sought-after Jason Kidd mugshot.
Here is the best PSA for not abusing alcohol you’ll ever see.
Picture one plus some alcohol turns into picture two. Picture two plus a car turns into picture three:
Yup, that's Jeremy Lin's mentor.
