Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports said that Reggie Evans, who played for the Clippers last season, has reached a deal with the Brooklyn Nets via a sign-and-trade. The deal is reported to be worth $5 million through three years.
The Nets will use their $3 million trade exception (acquired in the Gerald Wallace deal last year) to get Evans from the Clippers. The Clips will receive a future second-round draft pick.
Evans averaged 1.9 points and 4.8 boards in nearly 14 minutes for the Clippers. It's a given that he's not known for his offense but his rebounding and tireless effort on the defensive end will help the Nets. Especially since he will likely be sometimes paired with Brook Lopez.
Brooklyn is really doing a lot of work in the offseason.
