NBA beefs are best left on the basketball court. It’s not out of the ordinary for tempers to flare and for mean things to get said over the course of a game. Similarly, it’s not out of the ordinary for those flared tempers and/or mean things being said to lead to some light pushing and shoving; when it leads to one player essentially stalking someone after the game, though, that’s when there is a problem.
Carmelo Anthony crossed that line Monday night.
After a heated confrontation with known fake tough guy Kevin Garnett in the fourth quarter of his team’s eventual loss, Anthony and known fake tough guy Kevin Garnett ultimately had to be separated by teammates and officials.
Following the outing, rather than just letting it go, Anthony pursued known fake tough guy Kevin Garnett and waited for him outside of the Boston Celtics’ team bus.
That in turn led to this lame video:
What caused the initial tiff? According to multiple reports, known fake tough guy Kevin Garnett told Anthony that his wife tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. That’s something of an unsubstantiated rumor at this point, but knowing what a clown known fake tough guy Kevin Garnett is, it’s probably true.
Anthony will lose a tick under $177,000 in salary for missing tonight’s showdown versus the Indiana Pacers.
