If it came down to it, Nate Diaz would rather not step inside the Octagon with former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. Of course, if Diaz defeats Jim Miller and Edgar reclaims his title from Benson Henderson, the two could be on a collision course.
Diaz-Miller will be the main event for UFC On FOX 3 on May 5, while Edgar-Henderson is set for later this year after "Smooth" claimed the title from Edgar in a close decision.
"I'm pretty sure, like, I'm not really big on fighting Frankie, you know?" said Diaz, in a recent interview with MMAFighting.com. "Frankie came down to train with me and he represents Renzo Gracie and Ricardo Almedia, I train with Cesar (Gracie) so, I really don't wan not part of that fight. I'm mostly interested in fighting people I don't know."
We will have to wait and see if Diaz would give up a shot at claiming UFC gold to avoid fighting "The Answer." He is currently on a two-fight win streak, including a decision victory over Donald Cerrone.
