UFC 145 had been expected to take place on March 24 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and had been gathering fights, but The Globe and Mail today reports that the promotion has canceled the planned show.
Apparently suffering from the lack of a strong headliner, the card has been dissolved, with the match ups that were put together being transferred to an April event in Atlanta, Georgia.
Several bouts were either announced or rumored for the card, including: Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills, Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs, Mark Bocek vs. Matt Wiman, Mark Hominick vs. Eddie Yagin, Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell, Mac Danzig vs. Efrain Escudero, John Makdessi vs. Anthony Njokuani and Chris Clements vs. Keith Wisniewski.
No official word yet on exactly what is being done with each fight.
The UFC's Canadian branch director, Tom Wright, told The Canadian Press that the UFC intends to put on a show in Montreal before year's end.
