While appearing on Ultimate Insider, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre updated the MMA world on his recovery from knee surgery. St-Pierre, who had to pull out of a planned bout with Nick Diaz due to the injury, feels like he is on the right track to return to the Octagon sooner rather than later.
"I feel very good. I'm ahead of schedule," said St-Pierre (thanks to MMAMania.com for transcribing). "I feel sometimes I want to do a little bit more but even though I feel good, my graft is not fused properly, 100 percent. I need to remain calm."
GSP did not set a definite date for his return, though November is being targeted by most. When he does get back into action, St-Pierre will likely face Carlos Condit to determine the true UFC welterweight champ.
