Female CEO Claims A Woman Shouldn't Be President

| by Emily Smith

According to one Dallas woman, a woman has no right to be president of the United States.

The comment, made by CEO of Go Ape Marketing Cheryl Rios on Facebook, has infuriated Internet users. According to Rios, there’s an “old biblical sound reasoning” explaining why a woman shouldn’t be president.

“If this happens — I am moving to Canada… A female shouldn’t be president,” Rios wrote after Hillary Clinton announced she'd be running for president. “With the hormones we have there is no way we should be able to start a war.”

Rios noted that while she’s capable of running a business, running the country is apparently entirely different.

“That should be left to a man, a good, strong, honorable man,” Rios wrote. “We’re built differently, we have different hormones.”

Rios added that women “have equal rights” and she supports them, but she doesn’t support a female president.

Rich Fairless, one of Rios’ clients, said he doesn’t understand the marketing expert’s stand on a woman running the country. Fairless noted that he knows a woman can do everything a man can do.

Rios’ Facebook post has since gone viral, with commenters in support and in opposition of her opinion.

Here is her full post:

“If this happens – I am moving to Canada. There is NO need for her as she is not the right person to run our country – but more importantly a female shouldn’t be president. Let the haters begin . . . but with the hormones we have there is no way we should be able to start a war. Yes I run my own business and I love it and I am great at it BUT that is not the same as being the President, that should be left to a man, a good, strong, honorable man.”
