From a little kid’s point of view, a trip to the car wash must have been a scary experience.
An adorable new video shows the horror felt by a 2-year-old when her parents forced her to endure a drive-thru car wash for the very first time, the New York Daily News reported.
Max Gibbons, of Honolulu, Hawaii, filmed his little girl’s reaction as she sat on the back seat, while the family’s car went through the cleaning facility.
The toddler quickly pulls a blanket over her head to try to hide from the water.
"No... no car wash," she squeals as the brushes and water jets clean the vehicle.
Gibbons and his wife try to console the little girl throughout, but she is not having it.
“It's OK, we're safe... we're OK in the car, the car keeps us safe,” her father says.
The toddler continues to cover her face and starts sobbing.
“Look at the soap... it's just soap,” her mother says.
It’s only when the brushes stop that she cheers up again.
"Yay, we did it, car wash! All done!" she exclaims.
The video was uploaded to YouTube on March 15 and has been viewed more than 150,000 times.
Gibbons has come under fire from commenters who say he shouldn’t have put his child through the ordeal.
Gibbons says he and his wife attempted to “coach” their daughter before her first car wash so “she’d be ready and not scared,” but it didn’t work.
But he reassures viewers that she has since “made a full emotional recovery.”
